Can I create multiple FTP users?
Yes, each package contains a number of FTP user accounts that can be created. Each user account has its own private filespace separate from other user accounts. For example, if you deal with five external companies that you wish to share files with, you would create five users, each having their own username/password. Users are not able to see files stored in any other user account.
Is there any easy way to access files across all of my created users?
Yes, by default the admin user has access to all of your created users files and folders.
Can I access my files via a web interface
Yes. There is a web interface available at http://www.ftphostinguk.com/netftp/
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. You are more than welcome to point an existing domain or subdomain to the service. Simply contact us and tell us what domain name you would like to use, and we will send you instructions on how to configure it.
How much disc space do I need?
When choosing an account, the disc space is the total amount of space you are allocated for your account. For example, if you buy a 2 gigabyte account, and setup 4 users, you can give them 1 gigabyte each. Only when the sum of all the users actual used space goes above 2 gigabytes will you be notified (in the event of this we will not suspend your account, we will contact you so that you can free up some space or upgrade your account).
How many users do I need?
Each user you create will have their own username and password which gives them access to their own private filespace. For example if you created two users, "bill" and "ben", they would have their own username/password to upload files into, but couldn't see files in each others space. So, the number of users you will require is the total of all the seperate people you wish to share files privately with. If privacy is not an issue, you could have a single username and password and share these with many people.
Can the same user login at the same time from different locations?
Yes, this is called the number of concurrent users. As a guideline, the number of concurrent users is 5. We are flexible with this, so unless you're causing excess load on the system we can increase this for you.
Will my connection speed be limited?
No. All connections are uncapped on our 100mbit network.
Is there a minimum contract period?
We offer two contract periods, monthly and annually. Annual accounts attract a generous discount over the monthly option.
If I start on one of the smaller accounts, can I upgrade?
Yes, we will simply charge you pro-rata between your current package and the new package.
How do we pay?
We accept all major credit and debit cards via google checkout, simply click buy now from the packages page and follow the directions
Do you host all your files within a UK datacenter?
Yes. Our servers are hosted within the UK.
Are my files secure?
Although we constantly maintain security on the server, we recommend to all our users, that if you are uploading files of a sensitive nature, that they be encrypted before upload.
